 This is a self portrait of Fred Harman, dressed as
Red Ryder it appears. Fred continued drawing the Red Ryder comic
strip until 1963 when he finally dropped it and concentrated on painting and sculpture. The bronze of the bucking horse in front of the
portrait is one of his many sculptures and was a beautiful work. Wish I could afford one!
Fred died in 1982. The Art Museum is now run by his son, Fred Harman
