Horseshoe Bay ... continued ...

The hills were absolutely ablaze with a brilliant yellow. This is out close to enchanted Rock.

Hillside covered with Coreopsis near Enchanted Rock

Here's a shot of the condos we were staying in. The back side overlooks the golf course. Every evening the deer come by for handouts, and the squirrels are always scampering around in the oaks.

Condos where we stayed

Lakeside Condos where we stayed once before

Six or seven years ago we rented one of these 3 story condos which back up to Lake LBJ. You can fish off your back pier. Had a great time on that visit also!

Here's a  typical roadside growth of Indian blanket  and coreopsis.

Roadside wildflowers, mostly Indian Blanket

Roadside Wildflowers including some Mexican Hat

Here there are a few Mexican Hats in amongst the Indian Blanket, and a few lonely bluebonnets still blooming.

Just south of Enchanted rock on the road to Fredricksburg, we looked back and saw this neat ranch.

Wagon at Wildseed Farms

Between Fredricksburg and Johnson City we happened across Wildseed Farms, an enterprise that grows wildflowers and sells the seed commercially. This old wagon was sitting out front amongst the flowers.
