Happy Hour - 25 July 2001 - continued

Michaeline Cross and Tamara Dugas joined in the festivities. Joyce's daughters are seated at the table.

This, and the following happy hour pictures, were taken by Alphonso Alexander who graciously agreed to let me display them on the site. Thanks Al for some really good pictures. Wish there were room for all of them.

Joyce's daughters joined her for a picture. As I told her she "dun gud!" 'Nuff said.

During the luncheon the day before, Joyce had said that she had promised Johnny she was going to prepare him three home cooked meals a day from now on. When I mentioned it, I heard some comment from him like . . . "liar, liar, pants on fire!" I don't think he believes in the Easter Bunny either!

Joyce's daughters seem about to collapse in laughter while Vickie Patterson observes as Joyce tries to wiggle out of this one. I'll testify as a witness Johnny!

Johnny's hoping to retire as Richardson's postmaster in October, but says Joyce wants him to stay on until February.

Johnny was taking it all in and seemed to be saying "just wait 'til we get home!"

Betty and Vic Cawoski also came by and joined in the party. Vic is also retiring. Nice to see Vic and Betty again. Many years ago Betty was in an office next door to me in building 406, and Vic and I were in Dennis Kaplan's group together for a few years. I declare they both get younger looking every time I see them.

For you folks that haven't been by the old Collins campus lately, here's a picture of the original red brick building 401 I took back in March 2001. The empty parking lot and employee entrance is at right with the lobby entrance at left. Everything on the old campus has been painted this same shade of brown. Looks more boring than Santa Fe!
